[LOGic] Logic 7 and Windows Vista

Running Logic 8 under Windows 7 64 bit with 2 SIIG 4 port serial cards. The
only surprise was that after installing one of the cards, and having the
port numbers assigned by Windows, upon installing the second card, Windows
duplicated the port numbers instead of assigning them sequentially as it had
done in XP and Vista. I had two com3s, two com4s 5s and 6s. Had to clean
that up manually.

After installing Logic 8 onto the new computer, I upgraded to the version
that I had on the old computer, then copied the whole Logic 8 folder from
the old computer to the new computer. This required that I re-enter the KEY.
After that, it ran smoothly just like before.

The only install I had trouble with was WINTTY. Worked around it, though.

Ben

I had no problems running Logic under Vista. I have upgraded to Windows 7
and have no issues here either. With Vista you must run Logic as an
Administrator. Right click the icon and select 'Run as Administrator'. I ran

2 internal serial RS-232 ports and 4 USB to RS-232 ports for control
functions. No issues with this under Vista either.
