[LOGic] Upgrade

I have used all versions of LOGic since the early 90s DOS versions, as I recall, and have found each to be an improvement over the prior one. Version 8 seems to be (at least for me) the most stable and least likely to crash of the last several versions. It has features that V5 didn't have, such as the ability to handle LoTW. Another BIG advantage is this reflector. Most of the folks on it are using LOGic8, and there's loads of current help and advice from a lot of very nice people. I would recommend upgrading.

  I have been very happy with LOGIC 8xx. I think LOGIC improves with every major Verison release, even though I don't use many of the new features. 

  I have never had trouble moving data up to a new version, but I have not skipped versions. Suggest you contact Dennis, tell him what your plans are, and ask for suggestions how to safely make the upgrade.

  BTW there are RUMORS (and I stress that they are Rumors, I know nothing other than what I read on this forum) of another LOGIC version in the works....if true, then is it better to wait for new release, or upgrade now? I don't know the answer to that question.

    Hi to all and happy new year to everybody, we still have until the end of the month to send wishes isn't it ?

    I'm an old user of Logic but I still have the 5.3 Version and would like tu upgrade to Version 8

    Could you tell me if :

    1)       you think the upgrade is really an improvement of the 5.3 Version

    2)       Is it easy to import the logdata, and possible to import the logform, report and so on, because I think the format is really different in version 8
