[LOGic] Multiple Logs

The SEDXC is holding monthly contests based on SEDXC.  So each month starts
with all entities needed. My master log goes back many years and as a result
shows very few things as needed.  Short of manually shuttling in new empty
logs renaming the old log and eventual reversing the process, can someone
suggest a good way of dealing with this with a minimum of fuss?  Maybe ten
years ago I recall having done something along these lines using information
from the manual and some help from Dennis.  I have tried searching through
the manual and my ancient emails but cannot find the info.   My vague memory
is that this may have been a cumbersome procedure.
