You know, folks...paying attention, subscribing to the various FREE dx
newsletters such OPDX, 425 DX News, ARRL DX Bulletin etc. will go along ways
towards relieving everyones anxiety over missing this prefix or that prefix.
Use all of the tools at your disposal, not just one of them. But most
important of all of these...paying attention.

You know just thinking about that wouldn't it be nice if LOGic would, let's
once every 24 hours, contact the LOGic server on the internet and check for
prefix table updates and maybe any other table updates that were available.

Thanks for the info Jack. I knew about this Mellish Reef DXped, but LOGIC
didn't....and as a result, I missed several weeks of opportunities to
contact them. Looks like they'll be QRV a few more days.

With the recent discussions about the future direction that LOGIC takes, I
have to say:
a) LOGIC is a great package
b) Dennis' support has been excellent
c) LOGIC has always been lacking an accurate, centralized, & current
prefix/DXped data file

Item "c" has been, and continues to be, my only frustration with the
product. Yes, there are periodic database updates on the support page, but
they are offten months behind the real-time activity. Yes, the user can do
their own research & update the database, but this is haphazard at best. The

software needs to be the DXer's tool, not the other way around.

I don't wish to create flamewar here, nor attack Dennis. However these
random changes/updates in the DX world need to be better incorporated in the

software so it's friendly to DXer's who are trying to grab another band,
prefix, mode.

In any event, thanks for the heads-up about Mellish Reef, my database now
has the changes, and LOGIC will now tell me when they've been spotted.

Tnx es 73
