Marty,
You of all people should not talk about trashing people publicly! I am sure
that you have never done that in a court of law. (Smiles sheepishly). I am
glad that you have the perfect shack and the perfect everything.
Unfortunately, some of us have tried to work things out with the parties and
as you undoubtedly have not read the complete file, would be able to
understand, our frustration is being vented in a "Class action discussion"
Maybe we can get to mediation with our fellow amateurs who HAVE experienced
the imperfections of our various stations. We are not trashing per se but
having spirited discussion to try to mediate a win win solution by learning
from others experiences, of which you have no experience to share since your
perfect station is working perfectly my esteemed barrister!
Thanks for your $250.00 per hours worth!
73,
Keith

thought of the above fictitious novella!
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Subject: [LOGic] Microham, Logic and the rest of this thread
Gentlemen:
I have owned Logic 8 ever since it was first released. I use a Microham
MicroKeyer, an Icom 756 Pro III and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (E6600) in
dual core mode all the timeI under Windows XP Professional, SP2 (actually,
SP3 now since I downloaded the beta...SWEET...but, I digress).
I made certain to download the latest configuration help files from Microham
and to set up both Logic and the MicroKeyer USB Router software exactly as
directed. I also make sure that the MicroKeyer always has the latest
firmware and that I was running the latest version of both Logic8 and the
router software. My setup works just fine. I run CW through the WinKeyer
interface and it sends perfect code. It also works with MixW2 interface just
fine also. I never use Logic for contesting. IMHO, the finest contest
logging program is, by far and away, N1MM's free logging software. I have
the MicroKeyer set up with Logic and N1MM presets and simply switch as
needed.
No offense, but in my experience (which includes 34 years as a trial
lawyer), I have yet to find any vendor (or anyone else for that matter) who
is inclined to be particularly helpful when a customer has a complaint with
their product and instead of working it out with them directly, continue to
trash them publicly over and over again. Think about it for a moment, would
you feel particularly inclinded to go out of your way to help someone who
repeatedly held you and your product up to public ridicule in a forum
specifically dedicated to your customers. I, like many in this forum, have
had to call Dennis on occasion. He has always returned my calls promptly and
has always been successful in resolving the issue.
Quite frankly, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is tired of reading
repetitive flames about an issue that could have been resolved a long time
ago in direct communication with Dennis.
Just one man's opinion,
73, de
Marty, N1HT
