[LOGic] Frequency in Logbook

I would think that the easiest key to press would be the TAB key since it
sets into motion callbook lookup, time stamps, etc. My response was to his
statement that sounded like that he expected the frequency entry in the log
to follow the radio window when he stated:

" The little rig window is realtime. I can spin my radio's vfo and the rig
>> control window frequency changes. BUT the freq in the log form does not
>> change. Same with mode change from radio.
>> The log form doesn't catch a mode change or freq change in "real time".
>> At least it doesn't on my setup."

I think that kind of change is unrealistic and it has not worked that way
since Logic 4 that I know of. Perhaps in an earlier DOS version it might
have, but that would be like comparing apples to oranges.

Ben

That's not the issue Ben. At present, Logic only retrieves the radio
data and callbook info etc. specifically when the Tab key is pressed. I
suspect this might be a holdover from the early days of Logic when it
was running procedural code under DOS... With Forms such as the current
version of Logic is using, it would be easy trigger the same updates on
one of the pre-defined events such as the callsign field losing focus.
This would cause the program to do what needs to be done as soon as the
cursor leaves the callsign field regardless of whether its by means of
the Tab, Enter or mouse click.
