Greg, first of all welcome to the LOGic Reflector.

1. The only field names that can be changed are the user-defined field
names.

2. Right click on a window and choose form properties and then select "in
windows desktop".

Subject: [LOGic] form field label edit and transparency questions

Hi all,

I am new to LOGic 8 and really enjoying using and
getting to know the program. And what a program
it is!

I have two questions I can't find answers to:

1) How do I edit the field labels on the Log form?
For example, on the log form display, the county
field label is "CNTY" but I want to change that
to "Cnty" or "County". Likewise, the State field
label is "St" ... how do I change that to "ST" or
     "State"?

2) How do I activate "In Windows Desktop"? I assume
this is a feature which will allow me to float the
various LOGic forms out on the desktop instead of
in the LOGic main window. I am attempting to use
the Transparency feature but can't find the switch
for "In Windows Desktop" and can't drag anything
out of the LOGic main window.

Thanks. I hope to contribute to the group and LOGic 8.
I'm hoping to become familiar enough with the program
to eventually create a Log form/module for the Tennessee
QSO Party next September.
