If the Award, value, and description are missing, that means you have
worked that entity on that band and mode. If the entry is in green, you have
worked that exact station there depending on how you have that set up in the
spot log. If you wish only to see bands and modes you need, uncheck "Show
All"
Open one of the progress forms. It should update and show where and how you
worked a DX entity when you select a spot.
Open the "Other QSO's form" and it will show previous QSO's with that
station when it is selected in the spot log.
If you have clicked on one station in the spot log, you can then use the up
and down arrows to see other stations in the spot log, and the respective
forms (including the "Info" form will update as you go.

I noticed in the spot log that some entries do not have an award or value
listed and no description but still show up, is this normal?
Another thing is basically a feature I would like is to be able to just
click once on the spot and be able to see where I may have / have not worked
them. Similiar to the progress list updating for the spot clicked on.
