[LOGic] ADDING 2ND RIG TO RADIO INTERFACE

That didn't go out...
The only thing I can think of is to drop to one stop bit.
Or... The 2000 is TNC enabled so that the serial port is connected to the
TNC instead of CAT.
If you use Hyperterminal on the 2000 and hit control C or enter, is there
any response??

Hi Ben...
Thanks for your comments.
The "old" radio, the FT1000MP, has been happily talking to LOGIC for years
and uses a straight-thru cable.
The docs for the "new" radio, the TS2000, make no mention of null modem.
They use words like "standard 9 pin female-female RS2323 cable, so that's
what I've got.
I did not know the TS2000 needs to be rebooted after each speed change, but
I currently have everything set at 4800 bps w/ 2 stop bits (because that's
how the Yaesu likes to work) so by now the Kenwood has been powered up
numerous times, and its menu says 4800 bps.
I also tried every permutation of RTS, DTR, all, none, and no joy.
Using the RS2323 LED tester, I can see the lights come on or blink, esp when
I send a command (eg RESET) from LOGIC so I know signals are going up & down
the line.
It's as if LOGIC was not decoding the Kenwood date, or vice versa.
