[LOGic] some basic logic 7 questions...

Hello Ken.
Let's see how many I can answer for you.
We need to start with your Log -- Default form. On this form you should see
"QSL s" with an entry field to the left of a drop-down list. If you allow
your mouse cursor to hove on this field a help shortcut should appear.
Reading this will show the purpose of each possible entry in this field.
Same thing for "QSL r". These two fields are for processing paper QSL
cards - outgoing and incoming.

Likewise you should see tow fields "LOTW s" and "LOTW r"; again hover and
read the popup message. These two fields are utilized in conjunction with
Logbbok of the World.

After you upload QSLs to LOTW, the "LOTW s" box gets a check mark for each
QSO you upload. When you download a QSL from LOTW, the "LOTW r" field gets
an "F" (fulfilled) entered if you allow LOTW to mark the LOTW QSLs you just
downloaded. You are asked if you want your incoming LOTW cards marked.

As for paper QSLs, you enter the intent in each field (sent and received).
If you expect to send a card, you enter "R" in the "QSL s" field. After you
print your cards to send out, you are asked if you wnat to mark the cards as
sent. If you say yes, the "QSL s" QSOs change from "R" to "F" (fulfilled).

If you expect to receive a paper QSL card, then you enter "R" in the "QSL r"
field. When you actually recieve a paper QSL card, then you return to the
QSO and manually change "QSL r" from "R" (requested) to "F" (fulfilled)

See details entered under each of your questions below...

Regards, Bill K1UQ

NO. however ....

TIP: print first to screen to see if all appears ok and DO NOT allow LOGic
to mark your cards as printed. Then print again to your labels and AGAIN do
NOT allow LOGic to mark your cards as printed. This way if labels jam,
printer craps out, or you make a goof, you don't have to go back and change
the boxes so you can reprint (or do a restore). Once everything prints ok,
do one last print to screen and then allow LOGic to mark your QSL Sent cards
as Fulfilled (printed)

NO, it is automatic PROVIDED you said yes to allow LOTW/LOGic to mark cards
up/down loaded.

I haven't done this and cannot advise.

Much of this is in LOGic help. Sometimes you need to carefully select the
right word for LOGic to search on.
Examples - using Help > search ... type LOTW then display Lof fields. This
will cover what I tried to explain above. Try displaying the Logbook of The
World topic. Etc, etc.
