[LOGic] Programming Guidance Needed

GM Bob,

I worked on a possible solution this AM. Here's what I did:
I added a user field & label named "BUREAU" to log form and made it a check
box.

I then modified the report. So far I only have taken this to the point of:
After you print your cards, when you answer the question to mark your QSL
sent "F" (ie change from "R" to "F") not only does "QSL s" change to "F",
but the BUREAU box automatically gets a check mark.

Is this close to what you are looking for?

Regards, Bill K1UQ

Subject: [LOGic] Programming Guidance Needed

Logic gurus- I have been making quite a bit of use of the outgoing QSL buro
lately but find the return rate a lot lower than with a direct QSL. I am in
the process of filling out country/band totals, so there are a lot of QSLs I
am mildly interested in getting but not so much that I want to QSL directly.

I have a check box on my log form to indicate that a QSL was sent via the
buro. I usually place an S into the QSL sent box and check the buro box at
that time manually. So after a while, if I am looking through things,
discover I have sent a card via the buro but have not gotten anything back
after a year or two, I start to suspect the other station is not a buro
member or at least is not going to respond that way, so I need to send a
card directly if I want it badly enough. That procedure has work fined
until now.

Now that I am into band/country totals fillout mode, I am looking at a large
number of cards-too many to go through the manual procedure. In generating
QSL labels the various reports give you the opportunity to have LOGIC mark
the QSOs as QSL sent and to record the date the card was "sent." I would
like to extend this to being able to have LOGIC optionally mark the BURO
check box at the same time. I think a fairly simple database command would
need to be added to the post processing command section of the report, but I
don't know what the command would be. Can anyone educate me?
