[LOGic] LOGIC7 RIG INTERFACE?

I finally have stopped using LOGic6 and am running LOGic7.
All seems OK but I am still finding some flukes when I operate.
Among them, the rig interface works fine if I log a station from the spot
log or set log to rig to spot log.
Using FT1000MP, and the CAT interface light is blinking and all is fine.
But the "radio window" doesn't show what the rig is set to. I'm working 20M
now, but the rig window is showing 3.634 Mhz and mode=LSB. If I manually
enter a new QSO on 20M, the freq/mode/etc., does not follow into the log,
obviously a problem.
What is happening here, where the log software apparently can control the
rig, but not the other way? All the set up optons loook OK???
Suggestions?
Thanks and 73

PS OK I JUST FIGURED THIS ONE OUT...BUT I'M NOT REAL HAPPY WITH WHAT I
FOUND.
A) IF THE MEM/VFO BUTTON ON THE FT1000MP IS SET TO "VFO" THEN THE
FREQ/MODE/BW ON THE RIG GETS SENT TO LOGIC.
B) ON THE OTHER HAND, IF THE OP HAS SELECTED MEMORY FROM THE VFO/MEM SWITCH
(AN OVERSIGHT ON MY PART) THEN THE RIG PARAMETERS DO _NOT_ GET SENT OUT THE
SERIAL PORT TO LOGIC.
SEEMS TO ME, IF THE RIG IS REPORTING CERTAIN PARAMETERS, THEY SHOULD GO ON
THE BUS TO LOGIC (THE COMPUTER SHOULD BE SMARTER THAN THE OPERATOR). HAS
ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS, AND DOES ANYONE KNOW IF LOGIC CAN BE FORCED TO
ACCEPT WHERE THE RIG IS SET?
