[Logic] How to "repair" Logic 7? Or Uninstall,
then reinstall Logic 7.

Unless you're doing some pretty fancy stuff, there really aren=92t all =
that
many settings to redo. I keep notes on my lat and lon both in decimal
degrees like Logic wants, as well as several other formats that other
programs require. I also keep notes on the interface settings to the =
radio,
etc. If you have them all written down, it really doesn't take but just =
a
couple of minutes to have everything back up and running again.
Hope this helps.

I was hoping to be able to preserve all my settings - not have to tweak
everything again. Any suggestions?

Jim,
Uninstalling and reinstalling Logic is very easy, but by all means =
protect
your log data. I like to run at least two separate backups and store =
them in
different locations. One of the backups can be on floppy disk(s).
Then run uninstall from the Control Panel and remove Logic. You may find =
it
helpful after the uninstall process to use Windows Explorer to =
completely
delete the Logic7 folder before starting to reinstall it. When all =
through,
run the Logic CD to install it again.=20
After the reinstall is complete, simply restore your previously backed =
up
log data, and you should be good to go.
You are aware, I assume, of the program that comes with Logic, and can =
be
found under Programs, Logic7: that will Clean Up Indexes and Temporary
Files. That may fix the problem you are experiencing without having to
reinstall the entire program.

For a variety of reasons, I must uninstall, then reinstall Logic 7. =
Can't
find any instructions on how to do this (probably not looking in the =
right
place).=20
Some options seem possible
1 - When running the install CD, will it offer a 'reinstall' option like
some applications do.
2 - Same question, only will it offer a 'repair' option?
3 - If I use Add/Remove programs, will that delete the logging database?
Many questions, please advise.
