Hi Dennis,
When you're running an awards report, the software is essentially
selectging a subset of your whole log that qualifies for the award in
question, here DXCC or WAS or IOTA or whatever. When you run the DXCC
report without specifying your own additional user-defined fields of
"award" and "award mode" before the "run report options" dialog box,
the software creates a database/subset of all qualifying DXCC qso's.
When you apply/specify your additional filtering options of "award"
and "award mode" you're applying them to only the "subset" and not the
log as a whole. Sorry, I know this is a very bad explanation of what
is happening.
The bottom line is, use the screen called "initial select criteria" to
specify/filter your additional user-defined fields of "award" and
"award mode" before you print your award. What this does is apply your
additional criteria to the larger database (i.e. your whole log) as
the software creates the "subset"/qualifying qso's to print.
I hope this makes some sense. E-mail me if you need more help.
