Has anyone set up logic for use by a non-admin user?
Be aware that setting up what you require might involve more than just
setting directory permissions... I haven't tried here, as the home computer
is not particularly secure... Much home targeted software, such as games,
require admin privilege to install/run so I have admin privilege.
To set up access to the shortcut by any user... as the admin user where you
installed the program, open "all users" on the right click of the start
button and move the menu shortcut to the appropriate place... Then grant
full access permissions on the Logic directory tree to all. Hopefully this
is all that will be necessary. Restricting permissions to read only on any
part of the Logic directory tree where files must be opened is probably
going to fail. Typically files are opened read/write, even if you do not
plan to write to them (unless Dennis has gone to the extra to allow for
read-only access). As a result, the attempt to open the file will fail if
inadequate permissions are granted.
