Good point--I forgot to check. It is not supposed overwrite existing data unless 
you do callbook to log.

It was not overwriting unless you typed something then failed to tab out of the 
field--easy to do on a DSL line.  I just now fixed it so that if you are in the 
process of typing something in Name or QTH, and have not tabbed out of the 
field, what you have typed so far will be preserved.
