[Logic] LOGic7 (copying reports and log forms)

But what about userfields? I have lots of customized logforms with many
custom userfields. I've just installed my new LOGic 7, performed all
the recommended copying and importing (manually of course) and still
none of my userfields have been transported over. It appears I now have
to go thru manually redoing all my custom forms to get the userfields
correctly created, labeled, formatted and positioned.

This is a very frustrating aspect of using LOGic, trying to migrate from
the prior version to the latest version. In this day and age of computer
sophistication there is very little excuse to not provide a migration
facility. When moving to another release, a utility should be provided
so that the user has to do NO manual activity to get ALL their data
correctly imported from the prior to newest version. Why is it necessary
to re-enter all your bio data? Why aren't the userfields transfered? Why
does this have to be done manually?

If the reason is that it is too complex for Dennis and company to
provide a migration solution, how the heck do they expect the user to
make sure everything is correctly moved over? If the reason is that they
are more interested in providing new function, I suggest they reconsider
that position.

Personally, if a totally transparent migration capability is not
provided for the next release of LOGic, I do not expect to continue
supporting LOGic with further purchases. The pain and agravation of
migrating a large complex log with lots of custom userfields is too
great. If I can finally get LOGic 7 running with everything (forms,
userfields etc) that I had in LOGic 6, then without a total migration
path I expect LOGic 7 will be my last version.
