I tried it... No, that doesn't really address the problem. Note that the Help
file says (in its explanation example), "Since CW is supported by your rig, it
will now resume reading the mode from the radio on subsequent QSOs." That's the
problem: The mode it resumes reading from the radio is CWN, because that's what
the radio calls it when you're in CW mode and have the narrow filter engaged.
Inputting a list of modes that doesn't include CWN, as you suggested, has no
effect; the rig reports CWN, and LOGic scarfs it up. Without changing something
in the radio (and I'm investigating that approach as well), the radio is going
to continue to spit out this CWN thing whenever it's queried. I was trying to
see if there was some way to get LOGic to "translate" it to just plain CW.

Of course I could manually set Mode in the Log to CW for each CW QSO, or go back
and groom the Log's Mode column before printing QSLs, or get LOGic to take the
Mode setting from the previous QSO, etc., etc. But I shouldn't have to (and
don't want to) do any of that.

Any other ideas, Art? Anybody?

I'll try patching my report expressions to nix it on the QSLs, at any rate. Then
maybe I can find out how to tweak the radio.
