Hi George,
LOGic 7 adds new fields in the prefix table, namely, "political
entity" and "cia code" which didn't exist in LOGic 6. If you want to
try copying over your old prefix.dbf file from LOGic 6 to LOGic 7,
make a backup of your LOGic 7 prefix.dbf file first; then copy over
the LOGic 6 version; then do a CLEAN; and see if the political entity
and cia codes are still filled in. (Most of the political entity
codes are *not* filled in so don't worry about that. However, most of
the CIA codes *are* filled in so look closely at that column.) Sorry
to give you the runaround but I don't have the chance to check this
right now. Nonetheless, this is the way to test it. Let us know what
you find out...If it doesn't work, replace the prefix.dbf file in
LOGic 7 with the backup.
So far I've only copied over my lists of valid values dbf file from
LOGic 6 to 7. Copying over custom indices files also works
i.e. index_info.dbf (helpful if you index a lot of logfields in your
logform).
