Careful you are reading things I didn't write!!!

I said polling "OPENS THE DOOR" to some interesting possibilities... But
you'll have to wait for version 8+ ;-)

I only have the beta... There are probably some additional changes that
were made in the final cut, but the prefix table  and valid values work
the same way. I have expressed some ideas how to improve the Prefix
table.... Especially regarding exception calls, but he can only do so
much in one release.... And the present arrangement works pretty
well.... Though it's being stressed by the sheer number of exceptions...
Believe me, you'll get your $60 worth (which pays for about 30 minutes
of a programmers time).
