[Logic] Date Format - Control Panel settings ignored

Brad:

I see your problem #1 in my Logic 7 installation. I click on the
main title bar and it lights up for as long as I hold the left mouse
button down, but when I release the button it greys out again.

I also have a problem in that when I print QSL mailing labels,
the window that asks if I want to print the call sign on the
labels doesn't pop to the top of the display. The program
pauses and waits for me to answer Y or N to the two
questions, but the window is nowhere to be seen.

This happens again when you get to the question about how
many labels to skip. The program pauses, but the window
doesn't appear. But if I type in the number and press the
ENTER key it works properly.

How can I get those two windows to display on top of everything?
When I first installed Logic 7 they worked properly. I don't know
what happened to make them disappear.

It's possible they are hidden behind some of the other windows
that are displayed, but when I try to minimize any of these other
windows the computer just pings at me and won't minimize the
visible windows as long as the missing windows are active.

Weird.

Subject: [Logic] Date Format - Control Panel settings ignored

  Hey all,

As I work through getting everything moved from v6 to v7, I have two =
odd
happenings occurring in LOGic 7 (v7.0.42):

  1) The main title bar will not activate (colors and text are grayed =
out as
if it were an inactive window). I have re-installed multiple times
(including a complete un-install, including registry entries). No =
matter
where I click in the main window, it never "looks" like its the active
window. The only time it becomes active is when I click on one of the =
drop
down menu items, like Reports, or Help, or File. LOGic 6 doesn't have =
this
problem. I contacted Dennis and he advised he has never seen this =
condition
  before. Any clues ??

  2) After driving myself crazy (an easy task), I can not get the =
control
panel short date format (dd-MMM-yy) to work in any of the log forms, =
or any
LOGic 7 window for that matter. I have gone through
Tools/Options/Application and changed the date format window to =
control
panel short (it looks correct in the "Sample Date" window). No log =
form
displays the dd-MMM-yy format. I closed all log form windows and =
re-opened
them, and still the date doesn't show as dd-MMM-yy. Am I missing some =
other
  option or set-up routine ?? Again, LOGic v6 doesn't have this =
problem.

Running Win 2k Pro, logforms were copied from LOGic 6. Also, control =
panel
short date format works normally in all other applications.

  Thanks for any help,

  73 de N8GLS, Brad
