[Logic] New to LOGic

IMHO........

You MUST have no less than 512 meg of RAM for XP Pro to work efficiently,
especially if you plan of multi tasking with several intense programs.
Trying to run LOGic 7 with its Telnet functionality, rig control, log
checking, not to mention all of the other goodies and anything else like
Hamscope, MixW, Meteor scatter programs and then possibly running Outlook,
Explorer, Chat programs, etc, is like burning the candle at both ends.

Like radio, you can have the new Icom 7800 but if you are trying to work the
Andamans on that rig and a dipole....... Well you get the idea. Consider
the ram your antenna!!!!! The more the better.

Subject: [Logic] New to LOGic

Hi All

I just purchased ver 7 and installed it on my computer. Running XP PRO,
Pent 4 1.5 gig, 256 ram, logic ver 7.0.127. TRX Manager also running, ver
3.7.5. I am very impressed with the program. I am going thru the learning
curve. I have been able to solve my problems with the online help and
videos so far. I do have a problem that I can't figure out. Logic stops
running intermittently and I have to restart the program. It does not
complain about not being shutdown correctly when restarted. TRX continues
to run as does anything else I might have going on. I did on one occasion
find an error reported in a hidden window on the desktop. The DDE server
encountered an error and was shutdown. Not sure which software module was
passing data via the server but that was the only error message I have seen
so far. Anyone else ??? what am I dong wrong???
