Well gee guys, no TRLog enthusiasts here? I'm astonished that one of
the major contest logging programs hasn't even been mentioned

My conclusion is that TRLog is the best choice !!!
-TR is available in ONE version which works well under Windows or DOS.
-It's very fast and very simple to use.
-It shows you where to point your beam to hit a particular grid.
-It shows you the distance to a particular grid.
-It shows you, for the current Q, which other bands you need to work him on for additional mults.
-It has a "Super Partial Checker" to check a partial callsign as you enter it.
-It has a "Master Database" you can populate in any way you want, including only call signs which have come through your Rx in any particular, several or all contests. A great plus for any contest.
-It works well on older laptops for Hilltopping, FD, Rover etc !!! (it's not "BloatWare") The whole thing with ALL contest files, not just VHF will fit on a 3.5" floppy disk. Any 286 laptops out there? I understand that there's a 286 version of TR available, just don't expect a lot of upgrades in the near or any future for the 286 version.
-It has excellent support. http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/trlog
This reflector isn't all that busy, especially compared to some other logging programs. Why? Not many problems - it's a mature, robust, contest logging solution.
-If you're into CW, TR has many functions which will help you raise your rate. The better op you are, the more you will benefit from them. Admittedly, VHF contesting doesn't seem to have much to do with rate.
-It's hard to imagine anything which will allow you to run the bands with computer controlled rigs faster than TR. Work him, type the next frequency, work him, type the next frequency, work him, type . . . etc. Yes, I understand that computer control of all bands in this context isn't within everyone's reach.
-None of the other contest logging programs support the Poisson d'Avril contest which received so much attention on the 3830 reflector recently. http://lists.contesting.com/_3830/

-For a trial version of TRLog check out http://www.trlog.com/

The usual caveat re pecuniary interest applies
