Hi:
For all of you "LoTW Beta Testers" please check the LoTW web site !!!
It tells us that we won't have any problems deleting/overwriting the old version
of LoTW if we had V1.05beta or later installed !!!
As far as I can see the last version of LoTW Beta was V1.04 !!!
If all of you check the LoTW www.arrl.org/lotw/ Web Page under "Download Software"
you will see:
Download Software
Last updated: September 15, 2003
Note for Beta testers: If you installed a beta version of the software, you do not need to uninstall it to install the new version (although there is no harm in doing so). You should, however, delete your old certificates since they are no longer valid. (To delete a certificate, click on the certificate in TQSLCert, then select Delete from the Certificate menu. You'll need V1.05beta or later to do this.) It also would be a good idea to delete any .TQ5, .TQ6, .TQ7 and .TQ8 files you may have on your system since they also are no longer useful.
The Arrl Web for "Page Developers at http://sourceforge.net/projects/trustedqsl/
it shows that the last Beta update was on August 17, 2003 as copied from above,
as referenced today (9/15/03) shows:
Windows

Latest File Releases
Package Version Date Notes / Monitor Download
TrustedQSLV1.04 August 17, 2003- Download
tqsllibV1.0 August 17, 2003- Download
I don't have any idea when V1.05 Beta came about, but it wasn't listed on the ARRL Site !!!
My suggestion for the Beta Testers is to check with the ARRL on how to do this if you have
V1.04 installed on your computer !!!
I had contacted the League on 9/9/03 about this problem when I had V1.04 installed and was told
to "Ignore" it !!!
I gave the League a method of removing the Beta version and they said "No Problem,
not needed" just overwrite the pervious version !!! Then they added another version
that they didn't list on the Web Site !!!
I suggest that you hold off in deleting the Beta versions !!!
