The LoTW software you currently have installed is the BETA version and is no longer operative
with LoTW. All logs submitted to the "LoTW Beta Test" have been deleted.

The new software will be available for download from the ARRL www.arrl.com/lotw on 9/15/03.

LoTW will accept all QSO's from 11/1/48, the start of the DXCC program.

You will have to register via the web and the ARRL will verify your ham status and send you a
postcard with YOUR access code via US Mail to your FCC listed address.

Install the NEW Lotw software.
Create a CERT for each callsign you have held and plan to submit logs for.
Create a CERT for each location you plan to submit logs for (Home and Vacation home)

For LOGic users:
Assuming that you just have 1 Callsign and 1 Location and no Q's before the 11/1/48 date.
All that you need to do is simply Export an ADIF file of your entire log. I might suggest
that you name the file something like 9_23_03.ADI so as to reflect the date you created the
file. In a few months if you want to do an update to LoTW you can select only the Q's after
9/23/03. Just one method of keeping track of incremental updates. Of course you can always
Export your entire log again and LoTW will just ignore the dupes.
If have more than 1 callsign or location, you will have the set the criteria in the ADIF Export
and produce individual ADIF files for LoTW.

Now that you have your log in ADIF format you use the LoTW software to "Digitally Sign" you
log. This will produce a file 9_23_03.TQ8 (using my above example).

The last step is to log onto the LoTW Site and select "upload File" and upload 9_23_03.TQ8.
LoTW will respond with a report on the stats for your upload.

You should be able to then go to "My QSL's" (think that was the tab name) and check for any
matching QSO's. DON'T expect many matches especially if you are log #1 Hi Hi !!!

Suggestion, go to www.arrl.com/lotw and read the FAQ's NOW to get the basics. Then after
9/15/03 recheck the site to get the updated info.
