[Logic] How do I integrate a membership database?

I've compiled the online SMIRK (Six Meter International Radio Klub)
membership roster into a simple two-column database consisting of callsign
and member number, which I can easily transform into any appropriate format.
What I want to do is integrate this database into LOGic 6 such that the
database will be checked every time I log a 6M contact in LOGic. I also want
to be able to launch a cross-check between the log and the database
manually. In either case, if the callsign is in the SMIRK datbase, the
associated member number is written into the LOGic log in a user-generated
field ("SMIRK", of course) that I've already established for this purpose.
That's it, pretty simple. But I'm not quite sure how to go about it.
Suggestions?
