[Logic] Icom Multiple Rigs and CI-V - Update

Thanks Jeff,

Got all to work with some help from Mel. I would think the 756 and the 910
would work without a hitch. The 756Pro doesn't cover the same bands as the
910 and so with both having CI-V enabled they should should work just fine.
When I had the 746Pro and the 756Pro II tied to the same CT-17, the 746
would tune, change mode, etc without any affect to the 756, it was only when
I spun the dial on the 756 that the two rigs went into "transceive" mode and
began tracking each other. If your happy as it is, great. If you want to
futz around maybe try a few of Mels tips for stop bit (1) and no RTS/DTR.
I'm certainly no expert, but maybe its worth a try.

Thanks again for your comments,

I recently added an Icom 910H to my station. I have a homebrew TTL to 232
cable I use, with a splitter added to access both Icom's. I was suprized
when I looked at a CT-17 schematic and saw that is nothing more then a TTL
to 232 cable split 4 ways in a fancy box! There is a bug in Logic6 that
Dennis knows about, he said he will fix in a future release. He also told me
that if I used 2 com ports with 2 cables it should work 100%. I noticed that
if I set CI-trn off on the 910 I won't affect the 756 PRO, when I make a
mode change to the 910. Of course I have different address' set for the two
rig's. So only thing that doesn't work is if I tune ,change bands, mode ,
etc on the 910 Logic6 won't see it. All else work's, including the all
important QSY to a DX spot, or log entry. So the bug in my opinion , is no
big deal....
