Hi John:

In case you haven't discovered, the FT-847 is the only radio I have come
across that uses a NULL MODEM cable to connect to the computer COM port.
Radio Shack may have these, or run a Google search and wire one up yourself.
I use the 847 primarily for satellite communications and it is great.

Subject: [Logic] FT 847 problem

I have bought an FT847 as a second radio. It won't communicate with LOGic.
If I select the newer driver it won't connect at all, and if I select the
older FT847/FT736 it pretends to connect, gives no error messages, but
doesn't actually communicate. Has anyone had this problem? is there a fix??
BTW, the 847 Serial number is 9E180010.. Does anyone know how old this is???
Tks es 73
