I am having a similar problem which I have discussed with Dennis. It =
has
been awhile since I talked with him and maybe I need to jog his memory =
on
this one. Not too long ago I upgraded my computer and setup everything
identically as the previous. Except now I have a much faster computer.
Everything is the same, the operating system everything, just a faster
computer. I am using, and have been using Windows XP PRO, and the CW =
Keyer
form does not work properly anymore. It keys up the transmit, but no =
audio
or code is generated...But wait! It does generate code! Just really, =
really
fast! If you go to the Setup tab in the CW Keyer form and manually =
adjust
the speed to a -999.99 value you may just discover what I did! The code =
is
being sent at a ridiculously fast speed and therefore is not being sent
properly. Upon entering this high negative value to adjust the speed, I
discovered that the test message displays now and the speed of the test =
code
is being sent at + or - 137 WPM!!! Now to dispel any other possible
explanations for this issue: I also use WriteLog with the same settings
used in LOGIC and the same cable connections and it (WriteLog) continues =
to
send flawless code without a hitch. Dennis has acknowledged to me that =
this
is a programming issue within LOGIC. Notice I did not call it a bug! =
Just an
issue I would like to see resolved. My previous computer was a P3 850MHz =
and
now I am running a P4 at 3.06 MHz with Hyper-Threading enabled...=20

This may or may not describe your problem, but it sounded similar and
thought it may help. Plus, I thought it might help to bring this issue =
to
light and remind Dennis of our discussion...=20

Side-note: Thanks Dennis for your continued hard work and excellent
product! Nothing comes close to LOGIC!

73 DE N3MX Steve...

Subject: [Logic] HELP WITH LOGIC 6.0.162

CAN SOME ONE HELP ME?
I'm using the latest and greatest Logic, Love it. However, unlike the
Logic 5.X versions, I have been unable to get my radio to work with the
CW buffers etc. As a matter of fact I cannot even get this version to
set up in the CW mode. I use an Ft1000(d) . This logic performs all the
functions that my previous 5.0 did with the exception of having it "set
up" for cw. I have not been able to set up the keyer. I have tried
serial port com1 and/or com2. I tried Serial DTR and Serial RTS for the
keyer, again no cigar. Which serial port pin does one use for cw
keying and/or or cw keying ptt? serial or parallel.
Would appreciate someone's response.

Thanks,
Ali
