What does this update include?
6.0.161 (4/9/2003)
6.0.156 (Mar 20, 2003)
=E2=80=A2 Downloads grid square and lat/lon from QRZ web callbook interface.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed band column header in progress forms. =20
=20
6.0.151 (Feb 11, 2003)
=E2=80=A2 Web callbook lookup updated to support the new <A HREF=3D"http://h=
amcall.net/">Buckmaster Hamcall</A> site.
=E2=80=A2 New command line parameter: SetClockOnly=3DYES on the command lin=
e causes=20
LOGic to set the system clock to the National Institute of Standards &=20
Technology (NIST) atomic clock, then exit. You can create a shortcut on the=
desktop,=20
which you can merely click to set the system clock!
=E2=80=A2 The dialog box that appears when you use the manu option to manual=
ly=20
request LOGic to set the system clock to NIST now closes automatically in a=20=
few=20
seconds if you do not click OK.
=20
=20
6.0.149 (Jan 28, 2003)
=E2=80=A2 Spot log no longer displays unused blank records.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem of duplicate spots showing up in spot log when usin=
g=20
WebCluster.
=E2=80=A2 Log form(s) now close automatically when rescoring a contest. Thi=
s=20
prevents improper score from being displayed in the scoring form.
=20
6.0.140 (Dec 31, 2002)
=E2=80=A2 You may now select the order of the spot log by Call, Time Posted,=
or Time=20
Received. Click on the column header. Time Posted is provided by WebCluster=
=20
only. If a spot is received from elsewhere, Time Posted is the same as Time=
=20
Received
=E2=80=A2 While navigating in the spot log grid, the display will not update=
for ten=20
seconds after any activity, even if scroll lock is off. Think of this as an=
=20
automatic mini-scroll-lock.
=E2=80=A2 Improved preprocessing of webcluster spots. -@ is inserted after=20=
the SPOT=20
BY callsign when someone sends a spot over the internet. Also, the DXCC=20
prefix is inserted by the Webcluster at the end of the comment field for som=
e=20
spots. This results in duplicate spots being displayed by Webcluster. LOGi=
c=20
removes this extemporaneous info so that it's dupe filtering eliminates the=20=
dupes.
=E2=80=A2 New option in spot log for mapping of spots. You may choose to pl=
ot all=20
spots received on the map, or only needed spots. Preciously, all spots were=
=20
plotted.
=E2=80=A2 Improved speed of processing incoming webcluster spots. Spots rec=
eived=20
rapid-fire from other sources will also process faster.
=E2=80=A2 The Canadian Island web site not only moved to <A HREF=3D"http://w=
ww.qsl.net/ve3tpz/cisa/Canadian.html">
http://www.qsl.net/ve3tpz/cisa/Canadian.html</A>, but the format of the HTML=
has changed. As a result,=20
previous versions of LOGic will not read it properly.=20
=E2=80=A2 New feature to automatically handle Daylight Savings Time changeov=
er. You=20
may operate during DST changeover, and UTC will stay correct. Auto changeov=
er=20
is the new default. Your system clock must be set to "Automatically adjust=20
for Daylight Savings Time". Go to LOGic's tools/setup/station info to check=20=
the=20
settings. There is a button here to access the system control panel. Please=
=20
check these settings in LOGic and the control panel after installing the=20
update. You don't want any unpleasant surprises in April!
The only thing that won't update properly if DST changeover happens while=20
operating is the map. To fix the display, click Forms/Map again, or close a=
nd=20
reopen the map or LOGic.
The old manual UTC offset is still available for those who like to set their=
=20
system clock to UTC or whatever.
=E2=80=A2 A label has been added to the log screen for Freq TX. It is hidde=
n by=20
default. To use it, unhide it and move it into position.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed spot log scroll lock.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem of wrong spot being processed if logging or setting=20=
rig after=20
receiving a spot while scroll lock is on.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem where first spot listed by Webcluster was not being=20
processed.
=E2=80=A2 Worked-around a problem logging RTTY spots when using TRX-Manager.=
=20
Previously, the mode would not be set properly in TRX-Manager. RTTY spots a=
re not=20
passed to TRX-Manager, since this is what was causing the mode to be set=20
improperly. Laurent will look into this.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem of Xverter offset settings with digits more than 2 p=
laces=20
past the decimal not being reloaded into setup screen.
=E2=80=A2 {Esc} no longer closes callbook windows. We received complaints t=
hat=20
people were accidentally closing it, thinking they are using the Undo keyboa=
rd=20
shortcut in the log form.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem with Other QSOs window. Previously, If minimized on=
=20
shutdown, it would still be normal on restart.
=20
6.0.124 (Sept 18, 2002)=E2=80=A2 New driver for Kenwood TS-2000 that polls t=
he radio.=20
The Auto Information feature apparently does not work on this rig.=20
6.0.122 (Sept 3, 2002)=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem with Icom 775/756 driver not l=
ogging=20
split frequency properly. Tnx KE4TV.
6.0.120 (Aug 21, 2002)=E2=80=A2 Several bugs fixed--could not delete a state=
=20
accidentally entered for a DX QSO. Buffer size for voice spots increased. I=
mproper=20
function keys sent if more than one terminal window was open. Intermittent=20
problem with Callbook Batch Update when using web. Progress bars were not=20
refreshing properly.
=E2=80=A2 Frequency fields now support up to 999 gHz.
=E2=80=A2 New Manage Radio Memories button on the Radio Memories form. Impo=
rt and=20
export to share with others. Rename, delete, and categories. Delete duplic=
ate=20
entries.
=E2=80=A2 New Favorites category for reports in Report menu. To make a repo=
rt a=20
favorite, modify it, and click the Favorites box in the Defaults and Descrip=
tion=20
page.
=20
Build 6.0.116 (July 1, 2002):=20
=E2=80=A2 New feature to import, export, and manage radio memories. Click t=
he new=20
button on the Radio Memories form. Send us your radio memory collections, a=
nd=20
we'll put them on the <A HREF=3D"http://www.hosenose.com/radio/support/defau=
lt.asp#ftp">FTP site</A> to share with others!=20
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem with not being able to clear state field.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem with MixW interface, where changing the call in MixW=
before=20
saving would not change the call in LOGic.=20
=E2=80=A2 New function DEB() (deblank) removes all leading and trailing spac=
es, and=20
all but one space between words. So for a RTTY function key, you could send=
=20
DEB("Hi " + NAME + ". How are things in " + QTH + " today?") =20
It will space properly when sent. This is easier than using TRIM() on each=20
field: =20
"Hi " + trim(NAME) + ". How are things in " + trim(QTH) + " today?"=20
=20
Build 6.0.111 (May 15, 2002):=20
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem with Prosistel rotor control.
=20
Build 6.0.110 (May 14, 2002):=20
=E2=80=A2 DigiPan and MixW interface was not working under XP. Fixed.
=E2=80=A2 Canadian Islands Update fixed to use new site. LOGic may remember=20=
the old=20
URL. Change it to the new URL, or delete the file INTERNET.INI. The new URL=
is=20
<A HREF=3D"http://cm.quik.com/wd8mgq/cisa/Canadian.html">http://cm.quik.com/=
wd8mgq/cisa/Canadian.html</A> =20
=E2=80=A2 Right-click the Check-in QSL button on the Browse window to chec=
k in a=20
card and automatically perform a Get to retrieve the next record.
=E2=80=A2 When running or printing a report, the IMAGES directory inside LOG=
ic is now=20
searched if the picture isn't found at the specified location.
=E2=80=A2 New option under File/Print lists all reports that have no categor=
y=20
assigned. You could also access these reports with the All Reports option.=20=
However,=20
the new option is a convenient way to identify imported LOGic 5 reports for=20
you to assign a category to.
=E2=80=A2 Support for Prosistel rotor. There is about a 4-second delay when=
setting=20
this rotor. This delay is required by the Prosistel interface. We cannot=20
"fix" it.
=E2=80=A2 New Print option on the Rejects page of the Update Awards Progress=
Info=20
screen.
=E2=80=A2 A few minor bugs were fixed.
Known issues not fixed: =20
=E2=80=A2 Edit/Copy, Edit/Cut, Edit/Paste menu options do not work from data=
forms=20
when using the mouse. Use the keyboard commands instead.=20
=20
Build 6.0.104 (Apr. 11, 2002):=20
=E2=80=A2 Fixed random information that showed up in the browse form for unu=
sed=20
user-defined fields. =20
=E2=80=A2 Fixed restoring minimized window after program startup. Previousl=
y they=20
would restore to the bottom of the main LOGic window.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed log form so that Browse window appears as the active form wh=
en=20
opening, instead of data form.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem with entering dates in user-defined fields.
=E2=80=A2 Added button on log browse form to check in QSL card.
=E2=80=A2 Report writer now displays number of records to be printed, or ale=
rts you=20
if the print selection results in nothing to print.
=E2=80=A2 Auto Field Exit has been added to QSL Sent and QSL Rcvd fields.
=E2=80=A2 You may now specify an LPT port by address. For one customer, the=20=
mapping=20
of LPT1 to the proper address did not work. To do this, open the CW keyer, g=
o=20
to Setup, and click Select Ports. Close the Select Port form. (This seeming=
ly=20
useless operation updates the .ini file). Now, open KEYER.INI in the LOGIC6=
=20
folder (double-click it), and modify the file as indicated. To see what=20
address is currently in use, right-click the Select Ports button in the Keye=
r.
Build 6.0.102 (Apr. 1, 2002):=20
=E2=80=A2 The Terminal windows, including Telnet, HamScope, etc. now have th=
e option=20
to move from the main LOGic window to Windows desktop. There is a new=20
checkmark under Options to control this.
=E2=80=A2 The WebCluster window may now be moved from the main LOGic window=20=
to the=20
Windows desktop. Right-click like all other forms.
=E2=80=A2 A few customers reported problems with some windows being covered=20=
by other=20
windows. These covered windows cannot be brought to the top by clicking on=20
them. This problem is apparently video-card related. We cannot reproduce i=
t on=20
any of our 5 machines. We made some changes to this update that we think=20
will resolve the problem. Let us know.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem doing multiple backups and a few other nuisance erro=
rs.
=E2=80=A2 Fixed problem filtering user-defined fields.
Build 6.0.101 (Mar 23, 2002):=20
Fixed: Lat, Lon, Time Zone, etc.. not saved when returning to Station Info=20
setup =E2=80=A2 function key buttons on Telnet =E2=80=A2 several minor nuis=
ance errors.
