The LaserJet 1100 can take a stack of cards and it puts only a slight curl
on the cards --nothing to worry about. The cards have a matte
surface. But I haven't been happy with this printer. It consistently
causes a problem by feeding multiple sheets. HP says that the separation
pad gets hard and loses its effectiveness as the printer nears the end of
its effective life. I am very unhappy with the short "effective
life". They had a program to send you a free pad but the program ended in
October. Except for the fact that it can take post cards, it doesn't begin
to compare with my LaserJet II with which I raised a family and which is
still cranking out scores of pages of stuff for church activities. Of
course, the latter cost a little more.
