The quick way is to just bring up the filter window, don't fill in
anything, and hit Count. As Dennis indicated, the Count number is
accurate. The number that flashes at the bottom of the screen or the
number that flashes when you do a "Peform Filter" is not always
accurate (sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't depending on how many
deleted records you have).
I'm really glad N6DHZ et. al. brought up this feature request - some
interesting insights into LOGic have come out of it! :)
