[Logic] Help on Logic 5.3

Hi Frank,
I am a YL Member of the system called YL System, meets on 14.332 Mhz.  I have not been on the air for a while, trying to learn the program, being off the air gives me a lot of time.  I have been trying to find out what awards I can get.
I have some secess on doing it.  I have created a yl contest main award with no seccess!  Don't understand much about "USERFIELD', "TAG_VAL" and the others!
So, I went under the STATE main award and did this.
I wanted to have it to track what "states" and "YL Member" if they were a YL member Y, "Yes" N, "No"  and if they were a "Gender" M, or F. so I use this.
TAG_VAL("YL MEMBER:", USERFIELDS,"C")='Y' 
It works great, but I can't track both if they are a YL Member and a Gender, Y, F or M.
TAG_VAL("YL MEMBER:', USERFIELDS,"C")='Y' AND TAG_VAL("GENDER:", USERFIELDS,"C")='F'
It cuts off the last four or six letters, and give me a error message.
Any ideas?  If you do, could you explaned it to me, what you did.  Also I send a copy to the help line as well.
