[Logic] Symantec Live Update - Nothing to do with my 3 EL SteppIR beam or LOGic, but.................!

Hello All,

I am at my wits end. I can't get through to Symantec via telephone or
e-mail. I have tried Tech24 on-line help to no avail. I have searched all my
XP books. I have spent countless hours, thus keeping me 'off-the-air'.

I ask you to bear with me, but someone on this reflector might be able to
help me and I need help.

I updated to the Norton 2003 version of System Works and now I can't
download Live Updates nor run an AV scan.

I used Symclean and un-installed and re-installed several times (without any
'Start-Up' programs) to no avail. I then tried to re-install my old 2002
version with the same result.

I tried to do a separate install of Live Update, but I keep getting the
message, "Install Error: 14 --The LiveUpdate install failed because you have
not got Long Pathname enabled. Please enable Long Pathnames and re-install
Live Update".

Any suggestions or ideas. Your help will be much appreciated. Thank you.
