Hi Barry,

Go to Log | Setup | ... I think there is a panel called "General" that
has an option which sets what happens when the Enter key is pressed
(i.e. whether a QSO is logged or whether it merely switches the focus
over to the Browse window).  

You can also set "confirm saving changes" which I usually have on.  Go
to Tools | Options.
