[Logic] "object file" error message

HELP!!

I did as Jim suggested below, in fact several times, and cleaned out any 
vestige of the previous installation, including the read only sig file. I then 
re-installed, even using a completely different folder ( the default c:\logic 
which wasn't used before), but I am still told that c:\logic\logic5.exe is 
"not an object file". What does this mean exactly?

Thus I am in big trouble, and help is urgently solicited.
