I have the exact same problem.  I have applied the most recent update from
the Web page, too.  I am going to e-mail Dennis as I am sure he already has
had a lot of inquiries about this.  Also, I understand that Win XP does not
treat the LPT ports the same as the former Windows OS used to, but not sure
if this has anything to do with the problem or not.  Go to

and you will find some information about the keyer problem (see build
6.0.104).  I have played with the keyer.ini file but I still have problems
with the proper LPT address being recognized.  The keyer now does recognize
the LPT being used but not the correct address.  It is probably because I am
not putting the right info into the .ini file.  Seems like Dennis did
address this keyer problem once before on this list....  think I will
research the archives before bothering him.   Let me know if you figure this
out.  Good Luck...  I am sure the fix is simple...  but right now elusive.
