[Logic] Question on the Power Field

Thanks Bill,
I'll wait till the dust settles on LOGic v6 before I send this in to Dennis
as an official wish for future versions. I completely missed thinking of
the band table, great observation, and sure makes sense.
With respect to the customized logform, I also have drop-down userfields set
for rig, amplifier, antenna and preamp as well. I wanted to change the
existing power field to a drop-down field BUT wasn't sure if that would
mess-up something else. I could add an additional userfield (two left on my
customized logform, boy those other ten are a godsend) BUT I really don't
want to waste a field for something that's already there IF it could be
changed without impacting something else. I'll try it anyways....wish me
luck (hi).
I do have rig/amp/preamp/antenna, etc, etc print on my QSL labels, all
looking at the band field. That works very well.
Thanks,
73 de N8GLS, Brad

Brad ... and Dennis (PDA) ...
What you would like is a modification to the Band Table. In this table a
user establishes rotor offset, mode, etc. Why not power?
I see your request as viable and quite useful.
In the meantime, make an alternate log form, and do the following:
setup userfields for rig, power, etc. Make them drop-downs (I do this, see:
http://www.k1uq.com/custom_log.htm ) and then delete or ignore the LOGic
power field or modify the initial setup info to a blank power level - your
choice.
Have fun,
Regards, Bill K1UQ
