Hi,
Just took delivery of my new TS2000. What a radio and what a price!
My only problem thus far is getting it to interact properly with PDA's LOGic 5.3. I am running the program on an Athlon 350 MHz PC. I have 3 COM ports, 1, 5 and 6. Port 1 controls an FT1000MP. Port 6 is my TS870. COM5 is the TS2000. I have it Radio 3/COM5 set to the PDA recommended 9600 BPS, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and use the recommended TS850 driver. Also, COM1 is the "built-in" port. COM 5 and 6 run off a seemingly reliable PCI/PnP dual serial port card that used to run both the 870 and my former IC 746 just fine.
The software recognizes the radio, allows me to change modes, bands, etc. The only problem is that the frequency readout does not readily update. I have to do a "Force Log" or click the VFO button (A or B) to get the operating frequency on the '2000 to be read into the computer/software.
Any ideas?
Thanks and best 73.
