[Logic] Keying is cutting off-HELP

 Im trying to set up these two new interfaces  I bought fm Dennis with my
FT1000D ,one for controlling the radio and the other to key it....Everything
works except I notice:

1) The fq on the logging screen doesnt keep up with the actual tuning of the
radio which is not a big deal..Maybe I shud hv my baud rate different then
4800...I know it didnt work at 9600.minor issue for now -

2) It keys fine except it chops off the letters, and its different each
time...Ive done the self calibration test...How about all these setting
under keyer, Interelement,Intercharacter,interword,speed correction and how
about Farsworth and weight adjusments.what per centages on these?
 I imagine they all have to be set correctly ..Can someone with this radio
or with experience give me some pointers...

 Id like to get this set up and working before the start of the AA cw
contest at 0000 today -
Im trying to modify the international  JA test as there isnt a AA in the
forms...Thats a whole different animal I see changing these fields with " +
" signs inbetween words and numbers, Im lost but trying to make something at
least work for this contest - I just want to put the guys callsign in and
push the key like with CT, hihi -I can rip em off on CW but im lost when it
comes to computers....HELP pse!
