Logicsters-

Over the past 6 months or so I have encountered a problem which has
gradually gotten worse. I would like to hear from anyone who has
encountered something similar or who has insight into the problem. I am
using the latest version of LOGIC 6 but saw the problem a long time back
so I am sure it is not peculiar to this version.

The problem originally occurred only rarely and was not reproducible at
will. I would minimize an unwanted window and sometime later try to
restore it. It would come back as a tiny bar showing only the window
header or banner. I could not resize the window by tugging on a corner.
I COULD hit the maximize rectangle and the window would fill the screen,
but I could never adjust its size. I could close the form and reopen it
and everything would be fine. This would happen every week or so.

Then as versions changed I began to see occasional erro messages
complaining about the window size. I don't recall the specifics.

Today the problem has escalated further. This time (first time I have
seen the problem on the latest download) I tired to open a window which
had not been opened, "Other QSOs" it came up as the scrunched title bar
only along with an error message saying the window size was illegal
would I like to try to attempt to continue. Checking yes led to another
error message. Trying to close the window did not succeed but led to
another round of the complaints. When I quit Logic, restarted it and
tried to open the Other QSO window the problem repeated. However on the
third attempt Logic simply quits if I try to open the Other QSO form-so
in effect it is gone. I suspect at sometime I may lose other windows
with which I have seen the problem before.

Can anyone help? Once upon a time I remember editing a LOGIC file which
contained the info on which windows were open and how big they were, and
where they would be located when LOGIC opened. If anyone recalls how to
edit whatever file this is perhaps as a workaround I could manually
reset some parameters.

But I would like to know a better way to cure and avoid the problem.
