I'm having the same problem and I'm also running Linksys equipment. I had no
idea it could be the equipment. I'll be very interested in what you learn
about this problem.

Subject: [Logic] Telnet with a Linksys Router/Cable Modem

BlankHello Group:

I just installed a new network in my home during a remodel. I've noticed
that I lose my telnet connection to the packet cluster after a few minutes.
I can connect quite easily but I can't keep the connection very long without
having to reconnect.

I've messed with a few of the settings of the router and thought I had it
solved with the keep alive option. But I'm back to where I started.

If there is anyone out there that has a Linksys router and has solved this
problem I sure would appreciate some help. The strange thing is that the
network did not cause this kind of problem when I was running a Netgear
router.

Thanks in advance.
