Hi:
I'm having problems getting the ITUZ & CQZ zone info into my log, mainly on
US contacts.
For starters I backed up my old log, uninstalled LOGic, reinstalled LOGic
and the .128 update so I could start from scratch. So basically this a NEW
installation with out a callbook !!!
I then imported 2500+ Q's from CT ADIF files, ran the pack sort and index
utility and then ran "Update awards progress info" utility.
I opened the Info, Default Log, & the Log Browse windows and then sorted
the log by callsign.
Now as I scroll down the browse window I notice that many of the QSO's
don't have any entries in the ITUZ or CQZ columns. If I select K1AM in the
"Browse Window", I can see in the "Info Window" that it reports ITUZ as 8
& CQZ as 5. Now if I look at the "Log Window" both ITUZ & CQZ fields are
blank.
I realize that LOGic can't report on indeterminate zones where the state or
country is split into two or more zones. I have looked at the published
TUZ & CQZ zone tables and I'm only questioning entities that fall within a
single zone.
If I run an "Awards Progress List" for ITUZ, Zone 8 is marked as "unworked".
If I MANUALLY enter zone 8 in the K1AM "Log Window" and rerun the "Update
awards progress info" utility and then "Awards Progress List", just as
expected Zone 8 is marked as "worked".
The problem seems to be in getting the data moved from the "Info Window" to
the "Log Window". If it was a problem with the "Prefix Table", I assume the
data would have never been shown in the "Info Window".
Now just to make things more interesting, when I run an "Awards Progress
List" for "PFX", K1 is listed as "unworked" even though K1AM is listed in
the log, but that's a problem for another time!!! However, looking at the
"Prefix Table" I see a number of US prefixes that appear to be undefined.
If that is REALLY true, I'm surprised. I would have thought that with
the length of time that LOGic has been available that the "Prefix Table"
would be complete with the exception of the very newest changes/additions.
