[Logic] RADIO AMATEUR CALLBOOK CEASING PUBLICATION IN NOVEMBER

Hi everyone.

Sorry to hear about the demise of RAC.

The interface to Buckmaster works! It
correctly display the info they send us. The
problem is that they don't send the mailing
country name to us. So I get it out of
LOGic's prefix table. Sometimes the
Location field has additional info in it.

Be assured that the superior handling of
country in RAC was because of product
differences, not us purposely making it this
way just to support our RAC sales.

The ultimate solution would be to add a
MAILING COUNTRY field to the prefix table.
However, it looks like the web is going to
take over, and so far all of the web sites we
access return the country name.

A solution that is available now is to remove
the extraneous info from the DXCC field in
the Prefix table.

If anyone knows where to get a ZIP-county
table, I can add that to LOGic so it can log
county without it being in the callbook
database.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis WN4AZY
