GM Steve:

I purchased a SIIG Quartet Serial 550 PCI card. This card adds 4 additional
com ports to the system. It has a nice cable that has 4 DB9 connectors.
Its been working very well. The card plugs into an available PCI slot.

I ordered mine from http://www.cdw.com They're part number is/was
SII0JJ-P04621 The card cost $89 plus shipping.

There are several other makers out there too. This one works and it was
very easy to install. I also investigated the USB port expanders. When I
checked the archives of several software reflectors I found that the USB
ports occaisionally stopped working until the computer was rebooted. That
didn't sound too appealing.

The normal disclaimer applies, I have no financial interest in the companies
I'm just a happy customer, also your milage may vary.
