[LEARC] LEARC Digest, Vol 120, Issue 1

Hello fellow Hams.

The 147.06 is back on air.  The antenna is on the new tower and at the same elevation of 350 feet. (maybe a foot or two less).  Today 2/29/12 I replaced the radio it had been running on for several years with another unit.  It now is putting out 80 watts as the old radio was running 45 watts.  

In the next month or two I hope to have these old Micor units replaced with a commercial repeater receiver and exciter.  These units are from Advanced Communication Systems ( IE Kendecom) and are extremely good units.

I would appreciate reports both good and bad.  You can send them to rr-sample at comcast.net.  Please put in the subject 147.06 report.

I will keep all updated on the upgrades.

147.06 is back online. However, while traveling to Quincy, I could not bring 
the repeater up at Carthage and beyond. I will check again on my return to 
see where dead spots are and relay that.

The 147.06 antenna was moved to the new tower.  Consequently, the repeater 
is offline. Stay tuned for further updates!

Don't forget the 440m is working if you are local and need to communicate.
