There were not enough members in attendance to constitute a quorum for the meeting, likely due to the weather. However, there were no pressing items on the agenda this month either.

As has been done in the past, we will need to move the March meeting time and date due to the NWS Spotter Training workshop. We have received confirmation that the Macomb Severe Weather Spotter Training class will be held on Tuesday, March 9th at 6:00
p.m. at the American Legion facility, 221 East Washington Street
in Macomb. Therefore, following past precedent, a short business meeting for the month of March will be held at the American Legion facility beginning at 5:30 p.m. on March 9th, which will allow us to conduct a brief meeting just prior to the spotter training class at 6:00 p.m.

Please spread the word! A technician level amateur radio license class is coming to Macomb, hosted by Ted Williamson and Rich Sample. Classes are set to begin on Wednesday, March 24th and run through Wednesday, May 19th at
the WIUM facility's conference room (old HyVee building on University Drive across from Sunrise restaurant). The scheduled meeting times will
be from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00
p.m., although actual ending time will likely be far earlier than 9:00 p.m. in most cases.
Access to the conference room where the class will be held is direct from the north side double doors. You will
need to drive around the east side of USB to access, as there is no west
side access. This door will be the one unlocked with all other
entrances being locked (including front doors to the radio station).

We could use some volunteers for the next four net assignments. If anyone is interested, please reply to this email to pick one of the following Sunday nets: 02/14, 02/21, 02/28 or 03/05.

Jesse, K9JLR
