[LeArc] October Meeting Summary

We had five members and no guests present at the business meeting on Tuesday evening.  Both the secretary's report and the treasurer's report were accepted as read without any discussion.

The only item discussed under old business was the Sunday evening nets.  There appears to be little interest in resurrecting the nets for the time being, mainly due to lack of participation.  We may entertain the idea of playing newsline in the future, since no one around here does that, and it might be a way to bolster participation in a net.  

Under new business, we briefly discussed the issue of low attendendance at club meetings.  I also gave a brief report that Mark (KA9SZX), myself and several members of the Twin Cities club in Champaign/Urbana took first place at a fox (hidden transmitter) hunt in Marshal, IL on Sunday afternoon.  We are entertaining the idea of having an informal hunt in this area sometime before winter, or perhaps next Spring.
