Title: Fox Hunting and Rocket Launch - weather? (Read notes)

Date: Saturday November 28, 2009
Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Location: 4 miles North of Princeton http://www.midwestpower.org/

Street: From I-80: Take the IL-26 exit at Princeton and go north
approximately 6.5 miles to 2400 N and turn left (west) on 2400 N. Proceed
west approximately 2 miles on 2400 N to 1850 E. Turn left (south). In about
a quarter mile you should see the TQC set up along the road.

Hams are needed to Fox-Hunt rocket at rocket launch 4 miles North of
Princeton.

Breakfast Ottawa Regional hospital 7:30-8:30

We can decide at breakfast if harvest/weather are ok
If ok - sms text those who responded to kb9ezz at arrl.net with sms number.

Travel to Princeton 8:30 to 9:30

Rocket should fly between 11 am and 1 pm

Suggest we have these frequencies in our radios:
146.55 Simplex for our primary communications.
146.955 - offset and 103.5 tone Princeton Repeater
446.00 - National simplex frequency

Launch time will be based on weather-but the planned activities are between
10:00-14:00 The rockets carry a 70 cm transmitter which starts a beacon near
completion of the
flight ! This is a good time to pick-up some pointers and hone your 440 MHz
Radio-direction Finding skills.

I hope to pair up a veteran with a newcomer and share the knowledge.
