It is getting close. Even with the local events going on, come out for some enjoyable commodore among fellow hams. Even if you are participating with heritage days, we will be out in the shade with a pitcher of iced tea and ribs and potato salad (as long as they last).
If you also know of someone who is interested in becoming a ham, we will have a GOTA station as well as at least one coach to get them on the air. There will also be an information table with information for the general public. (I am sure many campers will wonder what the heck!).
Finally if you are serious about emergency communications, we will have a new Ham who has been bitten by the bug and can operate HF (and other modes) remotely without commercial power! Come check it out AND how to make a mast from surplus display stands!!!!!
We are located in the far notheast corner of the Spring Lake campground. when you come to the lake turn right, go up the hill into the campground, when you get to the shower house, continue ahead to the north campground, when you come to the other shower house again go straight on the circular drive. When you turn left on the circle, we will be back in the clearing to the north. (Look for the all band vertical and other antenna).
